Rocca delle Macìe
has recently entered into collaboration with the Agricola Bartoli
Giusti Tenuta Comunali Winery for the distribution of Brunello
and Rosso di Montalcino wines. Our new partner is a renowned producer
with a 125-hectare estate in the locality of Montalcino, of which
a full twelve hectares are currently being used for vine cultivation.
It is run by the owner, Giovanna Giusti Bartoli, along with her
children Gino Antonio and Anna Maria Focacci. The grape yield
is deliberately maintained at a low level, and the hand-picked
bunches from this limited harvest allow for an annual production
of around 50,000 bottles of Brunello and 20,000 of Rosso di Montalcino
– all of exceptional quality. The winery, based in underground
cellars in the village of Osservanza, is equipped with the latest
winemaking, warehousing and ageing technologies. The prized Slavonian
oak barrels used in the ageing process give their Brunello a unique
character.
