May 2004
30th May is ‘Open Cellars Day’ in Tuscany, an initiative organized by the Movimento Turismo Vino - a wine-oriented promotional body that Rocca delle Macìe has supported from the outset.

30th May is the date for ‘Open Cellars Day’, an initiative in which Rocca delle Macìe has always participated enthusiastically as it represents a great opportunity for wine lovers - and, indeed, anyone who is interested - to visit the cellars and sample the wines prodduced by the company..
Visits will be available every hour from 10am until 6pm, and can be conducted not only in Italian, but also in English, German and French.
Those who would like to pause for lunch and enjoy some authentic local cuisine can visit the Winery’s restaurant at the Riserva di Fizzano (just 3 miles from the cellars), where a special ‘Open Cellars Menu’ will be available.
This menu offers a choice of two options:
• antipasto of cold meats, bruschette, savory pies and samples of Florentine tripe; main dish of pasta with wild boar sauce or Tuscan bread soup, followed by a home-made sweet. The accompanying wines will be Campomaccione, Morellino di Scansano DOC and Tenuta Sant'Alfonso Chianti Classico DOCG (one glass of each). The cost of this option is €15
alternatively
• platter of cured pork meats and cheeses with a glass of wine (€7).
We look forward to seeing you!
