It was back in 1973 that Italo Zingarelli at last realized his life-long dream of purchasing the ‘Macìe’ estate and transforming it into a winery at the very heart of the Chianti Classico zone. It was Italo’s heartfelt love of the Tuscan countryside that resulted in the establishment of the Rocca delle Macìe Winery, and he passed this same passion on to his children, Sandra, Fabio and Sergio. Indeed, in 1985, Sergio became personally responsible for the worldwide distribution of our wines. In 1989, he was appointed Company President, and, with his wife Daniela at his side, has worked to perpetuate the dream shared with his father, the founder.
