Produced only with grapes harvested from the Rocca delle Macìe
estate of Fizzano.

VINIFICATION
Following traditional fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels
for at least two years, while one tenth ages in barriques for just a
few months. The final blend is then refined further for another year
in the bottle.
WINE
DESCRIPTION
Color: ruby red, becoming garnet with age.
Nose: intense, refined. Spicy with hints of wild berries.
Palate: full bodied and warm flavor with rich bouquet of aged
berries.
ACING
This wine can be stored for 20 years, even longer for the more prestigious
vintages. Ideally, the bottle should be laid to rest in a dark area
at cellar conditions.
WINEMAKER'S
RECOMMENDATIONS
This wine should be served at 65°F. It should be opened and decanted
some time before serving. A wine of depth, it compliments red meats,
roasts and wild game.
